He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Sims and Oephelia Sims; his wife Christine Sims (Dennison); and his children, Glenda Sims-Laslow, William "Bill" Sims and Ronald "Ron" Sims.
He is survived by: his friend Dorothy Carter; and his sons, Dave Sims (Janet), Donald Sims (Faye) and James Jaggers (Linda). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
