He was predeceased by: his wife Amelia Sinclair Chalker; his parents, Barney Chalker Sr. and Myrtis Lane Chalker; and his sisters, Norma Cope (Forrest) and Lorraine Harry (Franklin).

He is survived by: his children, Bradley Edward Chalker of Deerfield Beach and Elizabeth Lane Chalker of Lighthouse Point; his grandsons, Robert Lee Chalker of North Carolina and Bradley Eric Chalker; and his nieces, Marcia Yolman and Melanie Folson (Frank) of Pompano Beach.

In lieu of flowers, it was Eddie's wish that donations be made to the Humane Society of Broward County, Florida.
