He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus MacLean and Jeanette MacLean; and his siblings, William, Archie, Stan, Jim and Agnes.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; and his children, Kevin, Scott, Glen and Louise. He is also survived by partners, several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
