He was predeceased by: his parents, Onie Albert and Elnor Taylor (Broadus); and his siblings, Onie "Sonny" Taylor, Jr., Gordie Taylor, George Taylor, Ora Belle Sprinkle, Bayo La Batre and Maritime Boat Captain.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae; his children, Albert Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Lorraine Scurry (Jay) and Edward Taylor (Ann); his siblings, Tommy Taylor, David Taylor, Vivian Lowery and Ida Mae Jowers; his grandchildren, Paul Williams, Jerry Taylor and Britney Taylor; and his great grandchildren, John Nathan Taylor, Marrisa Taylor, Taylor Williams and David Butler.
