He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Watier and Margaret Watier (Grimes); and his sisters, Betty Dixon (Watier) and Ann Davis (Watier). He is survived by: his children, William II and Cheryl Pearl (Watier); his son-in-law David Pearl; his grandson Connor Pearl; and his sister Sandra Sullivan (Watier). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
