She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolfo Velez and Delia Rosa. She is survived by: her children, Eliut Mendez, Dalia I. Mendez and Akyra Rivera; and her siblings, Adolfo, Jimmy, Wilbert, Elba, Ruthy, Ada, Sandra and Nicky. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
