It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Louise Waltermire of Debary, Florida, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frank and Ruth Ordell Robbins (Chrysty); her former husband Earl E. Schneider; her husband James Waltermire; her son Steven Douglas Custer; her siblings, Gilbert Eugene Robbins, James Donald Robins, William Franklin Robbins and Mabel L. Christian; her grandson Tyler Baker; and her stepgrandsons, Tommy Waltermire and Paul Ethan Waltermire Marling.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Wayne Custer (Sue) of Missouri and Darla Kay Custer of Debary, Florida; her grandchildren, Christy Weller (John) of Heyworth, Brett Custer (Alyssa) of Bloomington, Allison Baker of Sanford, Shawn Custer of Clinton, Missouri and Michelle Green (Ben) of Clinton, Missouri; and her stepgrandchildren, Patrick Bland of Portland, Brian Bland of Union City, Laura Bland of Union City, Cody Kreutzjans of North Vernon, Santana Kreutzjans of North Vernon, Deanna Simmons of North Vernon and Amanda Bower of Butlerville. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Katherine through the funeral home to the Hayden Historical Museum or the Hayden United Methodist Church.
