He is also survived by children, grandchildren.

“Adele & Family I send you my sympathy and prayers to you in the passing of Duane. We grew up together in school and as friends away from school. We played a lot of baseball in the park across the street from their house. I stayed overnight at the house in the upstairs bedroom and he stayed at my house also. Played a lot of basketball and football in Jr and Senior high school and ran some track too. He was a pretty good half miler. I will miss knowing he was around . Craig Douwstra class 1965.”
