“My sincere condolences to the Staveley family. I knew Brian when we were in our late teens, also working together at Northampton (Newbridge) Country Club before I left for college (I was the “sand trap girl” in 1973 & 1974 riding my own 3-wheeled raker). Over the years, I had often wondered about Brian, his golf dreams, and how his life may have turned out. I had moved to South Florida and we lost touch after once reconnecting when he played the Florida mini-tour — he was sponsored by Pro Jim Shuey. Over 40 years later, last week, my sister flew down from Maryland for a visit and we were reminiscing about growing up and old boyfriends. I said, “Remember Brian? Let’s look him up, he’s surely still playing golf somewhere!” and then sadly we saw this August obituary, his vibrant life cut short. I’m still in total shock. My heart goes out to his dear family and to all who knew him, Brian is not one to be forgotten, always so full of life, humor and such an outgoing personality. So very sad to now know that he’s gone.
