He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Fix and Opal Fix; his siblings, Hubert Velvin Fix, Nora Agnes Fix, Jolene (Ulis Mikles) and Ida Lee (Carol Kinney); his grandson Steven Galler; his brother-in-law Lowell Frei; and his sons-in-law, Paul Shurbet and Joey Dalusung.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Frei Fix; his children, Kelly Shurbet, Cathy Zehnle, Scott Zehnle (Bouasy), Stacey Sue Fix, Robin Dalusung and Laura Kruse (Daniel Kruse Their); his grandchildren, Sean Shurbet (Alicia), Harvey Galler, Joshua Shurbet (Vanita), Nichole Reynolds (Paul), Jessica Robinson, Ashley Mendoza (Kevin), Lt. Tiffany Zehnle and Dr. Samantha DeCampo (Guillermo DeCampo); his children, Isis Kruse and Nevaeh Kruse; and his sister-in-law Donita Fix. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to The Marine Corp Heritage Foundation Museum, Quantico, Virginia.
