She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Murphy and Mary Murphy; her husband William Kirkland; her siblings, Patrick Murphy, Maureen Humphries and Nancy Campbell; her sons, David Corby Kirkland (Vicki) and Edward Allen Kirkland; and her son-in-law Barry Matta.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Kirkland (Carol), Susan Russell (Charles), Cindy Mooneyham (Gary), John Kirkland (Sherry), Ken Kirkland, Andrew Kirkland (Wendy), Jerome Kirkland and Peggy Matta. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
