He was predeceased by: his sister Fay Staller. He is survived by: his parents, Marion Hughes and Hattie Hughes; his siblings, Sarah Best, Jim Hughes, Melvin Hughes, Patti Kaler, Shirley Crisp and Ray Hughes; and his children, Gail Gomez, Kelly Smith and Kyle Hughes. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Jobie Hughes Memorial Scholarship Fund.
