He is survived by: his wife Laura Sutherland; his son Matthew Sutherland; his daughter-in-law Rachel Sutherland; his sister Sue Byfield; his siblings-in-law, Fred Byfield, Mike Jacobs, Karen Jacobs, Barbara Marczak and Greg Marczak; and his grandchildren, Madison Sutherland and Joshua Sutherland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
