He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Fern and Flora Fern (Holtsclaw); and his brothers, Charles (Mary Fern), Bob (Geraldine Fern) and Willis Fern.
He is survived by: his wife Linda A. Heater; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Fern of Brandon, FL and Myra Rose (Jim) of Davenport, FL.
