He was predeceased by: his parents, Monserrate Padilla and Justina Zapata; and his siblings, Patria, Cruz, Ruben, Luis A., Carmen L., Gladys and Amilcar Padilla Zapata.
He is survived by: his children, Belinda Padilla of Davenport, FL, Gilbert Padilla of Long Island, NY and Pete Padilla of Queens, NY; his siblings, Sara, Josefa, Nelly and Eddie Padilla Zapata; and his grandchildren, Solangel Troncoso and Gilbert Padilla Jr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
