He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave E. Borts Jr. and Penny Borts (Kintz); his sister Brenda DesPlanques; his mother-in-law Karen Ona; and his brother-in-law Danny Johns Witke.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joyce Clapp, Robin Garner (William), John Borts and Lonnie Borts (Jodie); and his brothers-in-law, Mike DesPlanques, Doug Witke (Leticia) and Eric Witke (Kathy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (12 E Washington St, Colfax, IA 50054). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greencastle Cemetery (11425 Fall Ave, Colfax, IA 50054).
