He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie D. Dixon and Annie Mae Wright; his granddaughter Sameria Wright; and his siblings, Mary Ann Wilson, Linda Sue Roberts, Willie D. Wilson, Earnest Wilson and Patrick McCray.
He is survived by: his children, Yolanda Dawkins, Sholonda Dawkins, William Wilson Jr., Willie Dawkins, Travis Wilson, Von Garrett and Brent Fiddler; his siblings, Elaine Wilson, Sylvia Dixon-Ansley, Willow Wilson and Willie James; and his close friends, Tameko Vaughns, Paula Brown and Michael James Richardson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
