He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Backlinie and Mary Ellen Backlinie (Nalley); and his brother Robert Backlinie (Bobby). He is survived by: his daughters, Dina Amundsen of Brooksville, FL and Tami Burris (Jason) of Davidson, NC; his grandchildren, Ashley Amundsen of Greenville, SC, Kyle Amundsen of Brooksville, FL and Jackson Burris of Davidson, NC; his sister Charlene Pitts (Ronnie) of Dade City; his sister-in-law Sandra Backlinie of Dade City; and his goddaughter Nancy Nalley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council 1768 or to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
