She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Douglas Black; her son Kollin; her husband Lowell Gassman of Plant City; her daughter Anastasia West (Eric) of Plant City; her mother Martha Black Sutherland of Antioch; and her brother Scott Black (Laura) of Dade City.
With the recent pandemic, she answered the call to serve as a "hero" in several COVID units around the nation and was recognized and appreciated by hospitals and families alike for her work as well as her compassion.
