He is survived by: his fiancée Deborah Mistretta; his children, Kermit Keith Cales Jr. and Kimberly Cales-Catlett; his stepchildren, Angelina and Vincent Mistretta; his sisters, Leadeana Cales, Peggy Mitchell, Roxanna Parrish and Victoria Holderman; and his aunt Ida Mae Neal (family: Lynda Rhoades). He is also survived by grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
