She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Shelton and Eva Belle Carter Banton; her sons, Cecil and Danny Jo; and her siblings, Geraldine Busby, Leola Darty, Estella Harris, Ernest, James, David and Morris Banton.
She is survived by: her children, Darline Rix, Bobby Yancy (Sherry), Ellie Katchuba and George Alan Yancy (Jennifer); and her siblings, Mary Jane Leflore, Martha Jeans Carter and Harley Elmer Banton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
