He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman and Amanda Courtney; his children, Dana Johnston (Ben Johnston), Kimberly Goodwin (Jack Hubble), Joseph Goodwin Herman Jr. and Nikita Courtney; and his brothers, Lorenzo, Gary, Alfred and Ricky. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren.
