With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Pye of Dade City, Florida, born in Valdosta, Georgia, who passed away on May 7, 2021 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola Pye and Otis Pye; his son James Pye Jr.; and his siblings, Mamie Hall, Rose Mae Pye, Johnny Pye and Earnest Pye.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Townsend-Pye; his children, Jeffery Pye Sr. (Klemetis), Theotis Pye (Nyeisha), Darrell McCrae (Patricia), Andrea Davis, Larry Pye, Genethel Pye, Gregory Pye Shamiqua (Clarissa) and Joshua Zander; his siblings, Jimmy Pye Robert (Regina), Artis Pye, Annie Grace House, Mary Lee and Frankie Berrian (Russell); and his friend Due. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing relatives.
