With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hettie Baker of Dade City, Florida, born in Campbellton, Florida, who passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Mae and Theodore Newton Sr.; her siblings, Willie Ree Gilbert, Thomas E. Newton, Richard Newton, Theolia Martin, Coy Newton and Liddie Sorey; and her children, Bobby Baker and Angie Baker.
She is survived by: her husband James C. Baker Sr.; her children, Janice Sanders (Rechea) of Riverview, Barbara Cheatum of San Antonio and James C. Baker Jr. of Tampa, Florida; her siblings, Annie Mae Pittman (Nixon), Jessie Gean Newton and Dairel Newton Sr.; her grandchildren, Shawana Clay (Michael), Shaqueila Singh (Durville), Billy T. Cheatum Jr. (Alisha), Jasman Wynn and Shamieka Cheatum; and her friends, Due and Coronavirus. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
