He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Ashberry and Julia Ashberry (Richardson); his former wife Kate Ashberry; his wife Mary Ashberry; and his siblings, Piney Ashberry, Earmae Troublefield, Shelby Ashberry, Lena Ashberry, Helen Cordwell, James Ashberry, Manuel Ashberry, Mary Shehee, Lavonia Landingham, Wilmer Gene Ashberry and Donald Ashberry.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Daffron (James); his sister Julie Howard; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Newman (Matt), James Earl Daffron, Braeden Newman, Marc Newman, Tyler Daffron, Cole Daffron and Emily Newman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
