He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hattel and Edna Hattel of Hurdsfield, ND.. He is survived by: his wife June Hattel (Bader); his daughter Tammy (Bruce Palmerston); his granddaughter Amanda Palmerston; his sister Carol Hattel of Bismarck, ND; his siblings-in-law, Charlene Dickerson, Jeffrey Bader and Dan Bader; his nieces and nephews, Tiffany Bader, Tina Bader, Dawn Bader, Jimmy Hadley and Todd Bader; and his cousins, Marlin, Jim Haluska, Diane Gust, Steve, Dave and Mike Flick.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 10:15 AM and at 10:30 AM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513).
