He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James E. Davis and Rena Mae Davis; his sister Regina Davis; his grandparents, Lillie Mae Ellis and James L. Day; his wife Betty "BJ" Davis; his sons, Eric Reed (Nyla) and Darrell Davis (Bradly); his grandchildren, Perry, Jaya, Izaiah, Daylen and Reign; his siblings, Claudette Grubbs (John), Starlee Alexander (Terry), James Davis Jr. (Sibylle) and Larry Davis; his godchildren, Ashley Davis, Jaonsha Hayes, Trinay Crichlow, Mekhi Penix, Jerry Carter and Jamal Carter; his aunt Joann Lee; his siblings-in-law, Freddie Mae Reed, Edele Graham (Norman) and Eddie Reed (Ella); his niece Terrell McClain (Cory); and his cousin Timmy Lee. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and other sorrowing relatives and friends.
