With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie McCrea of Dade City, Florida, born in Salters, South Carolina, who passed away on July 30, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. McCrea and Jannie Mae Pressley McCrea; his former wife Patricia McCrea (Tisdale); his son Charlie McCrea Jr.; and his siblings, Ismel Saunders, Sidney, Georgia (Penny) and Pauline "Pearline" McCrea.
He is survived by: his wife Andrea McCrea of Georgetown; his children, Robert McCrea of Wesley Chapel, FL, James E. McCrea of Pensacola, FL, Charlene Lewis of Dade City, FL and Charlotte Amey of Kingstree; his siblings, Robert McCrea Jr. of Salters, Eddie Pressley (Wife) of Lare, George McCrea of St. Petersburg, FL, Edna McCrea of St. Petersburg, FL, Luella McCrea of St. Petersburg, FL, Jannie Fasion of Salters and Elizabeth Williams (Wilie) of Salters; and his close friend Ella Mae Lewis.
Special friend, Tonya McKnight; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a special grand niece whom he shared and celebrated a birthday with, Leasia McCrea. *Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have implemented necessary procedures during Visitations, Funeral Ceremonies, Gravesides, and other public and private ceremonies.
