He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Phineaus Stewart and Frances Stewart (Lewis); and his children, Thomas Stewart and Missy Stewart (Michelle). He is survived by: his wife Judith "Jude" Stewart (Henry); and his children, Carl E. Stewart, Jr. (Edith), James Stewart (Pamela), Michael Stewart (Michelle), Anthony Stewart (Tina), Lori Shaddock (Dale), Lisa Piandes (Kerry) and Jeffrey Thomas. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
