He is survived by: his caregiver Bonnie Gaskin Turner; his daughter Maryann Turner; his stepdaughter Felicia Altman (Brian); his stepgranddaughter Ruchama Ariella; his sisters, Anne Grigsby, Marie Turner, Penny Dykes (Terry), Mollie Kirsopp (Frank) and Tommie Pierce (Basil); and his sister-in-law Linda Gaskin Peterson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
