He was predeceased by: his parents, John Junior Hicks and Ruby Lee Hicks (Messer); and his brother Adolph Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Linda Hicks of Okahumpka, FL; his children, Randy Hicks (Paula) of Coleman, FL, Gary Zachary, Jr. (Denise) of Sumterville, FL, Sherri Thompson of Maine and Donna Zachary of Albany, GA; his siblings, Kenneth Hicks of Oxford, FL, Daryl Hicks of Oxford, FL, Dorothy Ryan of Lake County, FL, Flossie Stevens of Lake County, FL and Wanda Hicks of Leesburg, FL; and his grandchildren, John, Michael, Brittaney, Diaz, Paige, Dustyn, Grant and Leah. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
