She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Claude and Janie Mae McDonald Newell; and her siblings, Elvis Newell, Eric Newell, Wendell Newell, Vivian Hall and Doris Henderson.
She is survived by: her husband Clyde Henry Higgs of Crystal River, FL; her children, Jennifer Jones of Crystal River, FL and Barry Higgs (Shaun) of Crystal River, FL; her siblings, Roy Newell (Sandra), Carol Cox and Faye Calhoun (Sammy); her grandchildren, Eric Jones and Ryan Higgs (Kyleigh); and her great grandchild Skyla Higgs. She is also survived by her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners, Gideons, Kidney Foundation or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
