He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Valentine and Bertie Valentine; and his siblings, J. P. Valentine, Winnie Hicks and Inez Swafford.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Morgan Valentine; his daughters, Marcy Fletcher (Tom) and Kim V. Wade; his siblings, Benny Valentine (Edith), Audrey Bush and Joyce Powell (Jerry); his grandchildren, Brandon Fletcher (Katie), Ross Wade (Ashley) and Kory; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Fletcher, Abbott Grace Fletcher, Jordyn Rae Wade and Kieran Wade.
