We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2024, at the age of 78, Christine Whitby of Cross City, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Hammond and Dorothy Hammond. She is survived by: her husband George "Sambo" Whitby; and her sons, Steve Whitby (Jeannette), Sidney Whitby, Sr. (Jojo) and George Whitby (Gina). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and other extended family.
