He was predeceased by: his parents, Theddy Cockrell and May Cockrell; his wife Evelyn May Cockrell; his daughter Debra Jean Huskey; and his son-in-law Robert Huskey.
He is survived by: his son William "Wess" Cockrell (Jody) of Westville, Florida; his granddaughters, Debra Staack (Mark) of Woodbury and Jordan Woolbright (Edward); his great grandchildren, Lila and Robbie Staack; and his sister Judy Bernard (Robert) of Jacksonville.
