He was predeceased by: his parents, Elodio Castillo and Manuela Castillo; his wife Julia Castillo; his sons, Anselmo and Samuel; and his sisters, Isabel, Cruz, Florentio, Rumaldo and Elodia.

He is survived by:, Debra Castillo, Larry, Sheri, Cheryl Castillo, Henry, Wendy, Elliott, Sue, Christopher, Robert, Dorothy Shypkoski, Veronica Rios, Patrick, Martha Castillo and Monica Sinclair. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.
