He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Mixon and O. V. Mixon; his wife Susan Mixon; and his brother Thad Mixon. He is survived by: his great grandchild Louie; his children, Debbie Haan (Barry) of Crestview, FL and Scott Mixon (Susan) of Rydal, GA; his siblings, Forrest Mixon (Deborah) of Foley, AL, Walter Mixon (Jacque) of Foley, AL and Sylvia Perry (Buddy) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Charlie McDonald (Elease), Mallory McDonald (Brannon), Katie Forsyth (Jason), Davis Mixon (Molly) and Audrey Mixon; and his great grandchild C. T. McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made in Ray's name to Kidney Research.
