He is survived by: his wife Wallis Mayo; his brother-in-law Edward Garrett (Jeanette Johnson); and his nieces, Sharon Mayo, Sheryl Merritt, Reba Jones, Carrie Stewart, Gail Davis and Ann Moss. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews.
