He is survived by: his wife Irene Berta Currie; his children, Martha Currie Adams and Mikel Mayo Currie Jr.; his grandchildren, Andrea Adams Patten, Anthony Patten, Dylan Justice Currie and Destiny Summer Currie; and his great grandchildren, Emily Patten and Elijah Patten.
