It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lester Lavaughn Whitfield (Crestview, Florida), who passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Holland and Alvin Lee Whitfield; and his stepfather William Clipper. He is survived by: his son Christopher Whitfield; his siblings, Carolyn Jean Melton, Teresa Clipper Wayne, Joyce Whitfield McCrory, Linda Gayle Welch and Alvin Eugine Whitfield; his uncle Joseph Adams; his cousins, Bobby and David Adams; his nephew Timothy Eugene Whitfield; and also, Susan Clay and Joanna Clay. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice Services.
