He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rennie Mehalopoulos Sr. and Doris Gottowski Mehalopoulos; his daughter Dawn Marie Mehalopoulos-Holland; and his siblings, Dionysus "Dennis" Mehalopoulos and Karen Stephan.
He is survived by: his wife Luziminda A. Mehalopoulos; his children, Christopher John Mehalopoulos and Carrie Ann Mehalopoulos-Allen; and his sisters, Cheri Fritz and Debbie Fetterer. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
