He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ester and Jessie James Pitts; his former wife Ruth Johnson Pitts; and his siblings, Annie Bea Whitacker, Doyle Carlton Pitts, Johnie Pitts, Vertilee Faile and Bonard Franklin Pitts.
He is survived by: his pet Butch; his wife Juanita Pitts; his sons, Rocky Pitts (Gloria), Eddy Pitts (Laura), Kelly Pitts (Jane) and Larry Pitts (Sharon); his sister Mary Leavins; and his grandchildren, Jesse, Joshlynn, Jimmy, Justice, Jennifer, Jonathan and Curtis Pitts. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
