He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Steele; his parents, Tommie Steele and Lucile Steele; and his siblings, Brona Steele, Roger Steele, Johnie Steele, Chester Hollinhead and Mary Steele.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa Atkinson; his siblings, Tommie Steele, Jr. (Juanita), LeGrande Steele, Gerald Steele, Teresa Johnson and Marcia Fleming (Kevin); his sisters-in-law, Jackie Hollinhead and Cheri Steele; and his grandchildren, Joe and Cade. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
