He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Hayes (Abe) and Rosa Hayes (Gilbert); his wife Pauline J. Hayes; and his sons, Kenneth L. Hayes and Bobby Clyde Hayes.
He is survived by: his daughter Paula J. Allen; his son-in-law Rernard J. Allen Sr. of Altamonte Springs, FL; his daughters, Dalhia Faye Reynolds and Tari C. Hayes of Daytona Beach, FL; his grandchildren, Rernard James Allen II (Megan) of Charlotte, NC, Jeanell J. Allen of New York, NY, Nyoka Tooks, Deja L. Hayes and Jacqueline P. Hayes of Daytona Beach, FL; and his great grandchildren, Malcolm Curry, Madison Edwards, Kendric A. Patrick and Rernard J. Allen III (Trey). He is also survived by nephews, nieces and family friends.
