He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ransom and Clarice Ransom; his brother Franklin; and his son-in-law Shamus Woltz. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ransom; his children, Leah Ransom and Charles "Chuck" Ransom; his grandchildren, Ashley Woltz-Reeves and Charles Cole Ransom; and his great grandchildren, Austin and Bryson Reeves.
