He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Springfield A. M. E. Zion Church; his children, Ashley and Charles Jr.; his siblings, Earnestine Turner, Mary Daffin (Samuel), Samuel Burden (Nancy), Shirley Burden, Deidra Darcell Burden, Irma Burden, Gwendolyn Montgomery (Samuel) and Randall Burden (Varice); his father Earlean Gwinn Burden (Earlean Gwinn Burden); his grandparents, Owen Gwinn, Melvina Gwinn Clark, Earnest and Mary Ann Burden; his siblings, Mattie Burden and Earnest "Sporty" Burden Jr.; his nephews, Ivory James and De'Tron Burden; and also, Percy "Michael" Burden, Shelia Burden, Patricia Burden Coats and Cheryl Burden McDole.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Zion A. M. E Church (502 McDonald St, Crestview, FL 32536). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jackson Memorial Funeral Home (203 E Ross St, Jackson, AL 36545).
