He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Mayfield Swanson; his parents, Marion Ashcraft Anderson and Stanley Carl A. Swanson; and his grandson Douglas. He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Thomas (Mike), Sarah Kane (Wade), Anna Swanson, Chau Do (Duong Nguyen) and Mary K Swanson (David Raistrick); his grandchildren, Mary, Greg, Lauren, Mike, Kristin, Vinh, Kim, Alissa and John; his great grandchildren, Isabel, Elizabeth, James, Zak, Mackenzie, Madison, Marion, Violet and Bella; and his great great grandchild River.
