It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lottie Vanzant Ashton of Crescent City, Florida, who passed away on May 20, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Vanzant and Allie Braddock Vanzant; her husband Russell H. Ashton; and her siblings, Leila Vanzant Lewis, Alice Vanzant Gunter, Harry Vanzant, Ollie Vanzant, Nellie Vanzant Olfort, Lena Vanzant Christian and Freida Vanzant Gregory. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Hughes Cemetery in Yulee, Florida Rather than flowers, donations may be made in Lottie's memory to Shriner's Children Hospitals or Community Hospice and Palliative Care.
