She is survived by: her uncle Dorothy Beers; her son Rick Pitcher of Raleigh; her granddaughter Cynthia Topley (Stephen) of Cary; her brother Tom Carpenter (Gretchen) of Charlotte; her sister-in-law Pat Carpenter of Concord; and also, Henry Beers and Hartford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
