He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Norris McPherson and Hattie Lorraine Presnell McPherson. He is survived by: his wife Betty Powell Shivers McPherson of Crawfordville, Florida; his children, Nathan McPherson (Nell) of Crawfordville, Marty McPherson of Crawfordville and Sandy McPherson Johnson (Pete) of Anchorage, Ala; and his stepchildren, Gary Shivers of Woodville, Wesley Shivers of Crawfordville, LaVonne Shivers of Crawfordville and Calvin Shivers of Crawfordville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Lighthouse Children's Home.
